One Day In SF

San Francisco For A Day

San Francisco is such a beautiful city and I was lucky enough to go back there this past week.

SF was the first stop on our road trip down the PCH, but we only had one full day there so we needed to do as much as possible in that time.

But first, coffee… 😉 First thing in the morning we went to a cute coffee shop called HOME Cafe. They’re best known for their birthday cake latte, which has the adorable rainbow latte art. It’s probably the most basic of "basic" IG cafes… they ONLY serve avocado toast and cute looking lattes hahah! I’m not complaining though!

Golden Gate Bridge (duh)

Once we finished with breakfast, we started walking towards our next destination… the Golden Gate Bridge! It was a 3 mile scenic hike with beautiful ocean views and lookout points. Obviously this was on our list of must-do’s while we were there, it’s iconic!

There’s something so perfect about the way the clouds hover over the bridge, making every picture you take look like a postcard.

We had a stunning view of the bridge from both sides, then proceeded to Ghirardelli Square for some free chocolate samples! The secret is to keep entering the Ghirardelli store from different doors, so you can keep getting more samples! We spent some time walking around there, hit up Pier 39 for a couple drinks, then hiked up to Coit Tower.

As stunning as the views were, my dad failed to inform me that we were about to be climbing up around 400 stairs to get to Coit Tower. This is AFTER we had finished around 6 miles up and down the streets of San Francisco. Keep in mind… I’m wearing booties.

The view waaaas pretty awesome though… and we got a great workout out of it!! I had a great natural glow going on the rest of the day lol!

I wore a very “classic me” outfit, reminding me very much of an outfit I wore during my last trip to San Francisco. It’s reliable in the sense that I had a tank top if I got warm, and my jacket for when the wind picked up. Wearing the booties probably wasn’t my smartest decision considering how much we walked that day, but hey, at least they looked good lol.

Lombard Street

This street is famous for being incredibly steep and having wildly sharp turns, and will not let you down when you check it out. Covered in stunning flowerbeds, you can see why it’s an absolute must see for tourists.

We didn’t spend all that much time here… it was just so crowded with people that it was kind of overwhelming. We basically checked it out, got our pictures, and we were off!

I’m not gonna lie, I was INCREDIBLY happy to get back to the hotel after almost 9 hours of walking though the city. My legs were just dead, I flopped onto my bed and immediately took an advil to get me through dinner.

The day felt like we squished 3 days into 1! At the end of it, I felt pretty satisfied with our single day in San Francisco. The next morning we head out on our road trip down the PCH heading back to LA…but you gotta stay tuned for that one! 😉
