All Inclusive Trip to Costa Rica
I was recently invited by The Westin to come stay at their all inclusive resort in Costa Rica and OF COURSE was going to take them up on their offer!
We had 3 full days in this beautiful paradise and I’ve been so excited to share it with you guys. If you’re curious about any of my outfits I wore on this trip… check them out here! 🙂
The last time I had been to Costa Rica was when I was 16 and went on a 10 day trip with my family. Unfortunately I don’t have the most incredible memory, but I DID remember how tropical and beautiful it was there… that memory did not let me down.
The moment I arrived at the resort, they treated me with the most outstanding service. Everyone was so kind and so welcoming, which helped a lot considering ALL MY FRIENDS MISSED THEIR FLIGHT AND I WAS ALL ALONE lol. I was so so stressed being alone in a different country where they don’t speak english (and I don’t speak Spanish). Thankfully, they greeted me with a delicious drink and escorted me to my room where a tray of different snacks were waiting for me!
Dried plantain, 2 kinds of salsa, some yummy banana dessert and a shot of some kind of liquor… and the trip was off to a great (but lonely) start!
I may have had no friends… but I DID have unlimited pina coladas calling my name. All alone at an all inclusive resort… meh, could be worse. 😉
With nothing else to do, I immediately went to the swim up bar to grab a drink. A pina colada was the obvious choice here. I spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool swimming around and enjoying the peace and quiet. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to be on a solo vacation. It may have only been a day, but I think I got my fill haha.
Gimme some food and I’m SET. All I need in this world is some good food (and good people… but if that’s not an option, just the food will do).
As I waited for my friends to arrive, I ordered some room service for breakfast! I started my day with a fresh fruit plate and an egg white omelet… right up my alley! The Westin is well known for their health and wellness options and I’ve been on a health kick lately so I really appreciated that.
Each night we tried out a different restaurant they had at the resort; starting with the Italian restaurant. We got tons of appetizers to start but my main dish was a truffle ravioli… wow. I probably could’ve cried over how good that dish was lol.
The next night, Asian Fusion… YES. We definitely ordered one too many plates… or five too many. Everything was fantastic. I really really liked the vegetable curry we got, and the fried ice cream we had for dinner haha!
We also tried the buffet one morning, because DUH, and they had so many amazing (and healthy) options for us! I got another omelet with fresh fruit, as well as a mango smoothie! Just to add on to the incredible service we had there, they brought us drinks in coconuts and a pineapple!!! ALL MY DREAMS COMING TRUE!!!
Ohhhh the spa… one of my favorite parts of the resort for sure. They gave us full access to the spa facilities and guys, it was so beautiful. As soon as you walk through those double doors, instant relaxation.
A few hours went by in a blink of an eye and the sun was almost completely down. We managed to catch the end of it and RAN to the beach, where it was completely empty.
Even though it was a short trip, I had such an incredible time with some incredible people. I’m forever thankful for these opportunities and for everyone that made it possible… thank you ♥ A big shoutout of course to The Westin for having us and making us feel so welcome at your resort. Seriously, I cannot recommend this hotel enough if you’re visiting Costa Rica. The food, the location, the activities… A++ experience!!
