My 2019 Recap
Wow, WHAT. A YEAR.
This year was probably my rockiest year, and the most transformative. We were on quite the rollercoaster but definitely ending this year on the highest note imaginable. All in all, I feel incredibly blessed and can’t wait to see what 2020 brings for us!

JANUARY
Starting off the year with my 24th birthday! Celebrated with my bestie & then got way too drunk that night hahah! I also went on a trip to Big Bear with some amazing girls, it was a little out of my comfort zone but I ended up having the greatest time! I also launched my first ever merch phone case; the doodle collection was a huge success and it really sparked a ton of creativity in me which carried on throughout the year!
FEBRUARY
Honestly the only thing that mattered in February was my trip with Jilly to Hawaii !!!!
MARCH
March was quite the month! I got to see a movie screening at NETFLIX (so cool), I went to a gifting suite at the LMFAO house aaaaand I started hanging out with my ex boyfriend again lol. It was very overwhelming dealing with the feelings of actually liking him again after feeling so much resentment after our break up. But we were having fun together and I decided to roll with it & see what happened! Glad I did!
APRIL
Disney World | Revolve Festival
April was a great month! This is the month that I really started house hunting (and was secretly hanging out with Taylor lol)! My mom and I also took a trip to DISNEY WORLD just the 2 of us which was seriously so special to me!! I also went to Revolve Festival with some friends which was a suuuuper cool opportunity! It was kind of a mess, but it was cute lol.
MAY
Another incredible month! One of my fave shows, Game of Thrones, came to an end and we hosted a watch party which was the greatesssst! Taylor also took me to an Eric Church concert & we ended off the month on our first trip since getting back together! We got to explore New Orleans together & fall back in love and it was cute AF.
JUNE
June was incredible. First off, we discovered our massive love for the game of Catan. Wow is that game fun. Jill & I went back to Eat Drink Vegan which was delicious as always. Lastly, I got approved for my dream home. The most nerve wracking and incredible experience. I remember being SO worried that they’d pick someone else and I wouldn’t end up getting it. The day I found out it was mine was for sure a day I will truly never forget.
JULY
Started off the month celebrating the 4th of July in Venice watching some fireworks with friends! Then I MOVED into my new home & officially became a home owner - WILD. Saying goodbye to my DTLA apartment was incredibly bittersweet. I felt like I was closing such a huge chapter in my life and moving into the unknown. There were so many memories there and I had lived in downtown ever since I moved to LA, so moving to the west side was like moving to a whole different world to me! Taylor & I took advantage of being on the same side of LA finally and did a bunch of cute lil activities!
AUGUST
Suchhhh an amazing month! We kicked it off in Texas for Taylor’s sister’s BEAUTIFUL wedding. So much love & the absolute greatest trip! We also went to Austin & floated the river in San Antonio! Once we got back I went blonder than ever! Right after that I got to attend the IT 2 world premiere with the whole cast of the movie, soooo cool!
SEPTEMBER
September was the beginning of my home renovations journey! Obvi I had never done anything like this before so it was really wild to watch my kitchen go from old school 90s to a modern bright kitchen! I also launched my best selling merch item, the self love necklace! I wear mine every single day and seeing you guys wear them too is my favorite! Tay also took me to Disneyland to see all the holiday/halloween decorations! So fun!
OCTOBER
This was for sure the hardest month out of the year. The entire month was filled with overwhelming amounts of anxiety, lack of motivation/drive, and honestly a lot of sadness. My family came to visit at the beginning of the month but every single day I woke up knowing that my life in LA might be coming to an end. I had daily breakdowns, panic attacks, and honestly just so much stress in every aspect of everything. I don’t think I’ve ever been that unstable in my entire adulthood. As you guys now know, I flew back to Toronto to hopefully get a visa. It was my very last option after every other option had failed. Thankfully everything went as I had hoped but this was a very difficult month (/year) leading up to that moment.
NOVEMBER
My parents were BACK in LA this month, so much family time!!! Love it! As soon as they left, we got started on my new floors! I have been soooo excited for this since the day I moved in! I’m honestly so happy I was able to make all of these renovations within the first 6 months of living here. As soon as we started the renovations though, I got really sick. I had a fever for like 4 days in a row until Taylor finally convinced me to see a doctor, turns out I had pneumonia. That was rough.
DECEMBER
December is always such a busy month due to the holidays and VLOGMAS! Some of the highlights would be the universal studios day with Tay, Jill & Conor! We seriously had so much fun! Also very much enjoyed the 30 minutes Jill & I had at a FREAKING CAT CAFE! There were soooo many kittens I wanted to take them all home!!! Of course I can’t forget the greatest night of my life… THE JONAS BROTHERS CONCERT!!! I got Jill & I tickets for Christmas and it was literally the greatest time ahahah! And lastly, of course we had my family’s annual NYE trip! This year we were on the Allure of the Seas & Tay got to join us! One of my favorite trips ever :)
I cannot express how great I feel heading into 2020. I just know this is going to be an incredible year and I cannot wait to see what we accomplish! I’ll be sharing my 2020 resolutions/goals in the next post, and also reflecting on my goals from last year! What are some of your highlights from 2019? Would love to hear :)
