My New Bedroom
Having just moved into my new apartment a couple months ago, of courseeee I had to do a post about my new home decor!
I’ll be doing one on my full apartment but for now I’m talking about my room! It’s the first time I haven’t had my workspace in my bedroom and it took me a little bit of time to figure out how to decorate the extra space, but I’m loving it!
I gotta admit, I LOVE my bed. It’s probably one of my favorite things in my entire apartment (maybe life lol). That’s mostly because it’s incredibly comfy, but it’s also pretty cute looking too… if I do say so myself! I’ve always had a pretty plain bed, white sheets, white covers, a lack of cute throw pillows, but I finally decided to try something new! I went for a PINK duvet cover and I’ve hated the color pink my entire life… who have I become?!? Something about the specific shade really called out to me and I just needed it, and the BEST PART was that I managed to find it on sale! I always love a good deal. The throw pillows are all from Target, affordable & adorable, what more could someone want haha and the duvet cover is from Urban Outfitters! I don’t think I’ll ever be 100% done with my bed, I’ll always find new pillows to try out but this is what I’m working with for now!

Across from my bed, I have my dresser! This is the first time I’ve owned a dresser since moving out of my parents’ house. Without having a desk in my room, there was so much empty space that I had no idea what to do with! So of course that led me to pinterest and it seemed like getting a dresser was the obvious answer! I bought it from IKEA and I couldn’t be happier with it. It does what it’s supposed to do and it’s also very sleek and modern looking. On top I just have some little decor items, like a fake plant, a couple candles, and one of my purses. Then for the wall, I just recently added this round mirror from Target and I’m OBSESSED with the way it looks!

Next to my dresser, I have this IKEA shelf where I’ve placed lots of random decor pieces that probably don’t go well together, but I have nowhere else to put them. After I moved I realized how many small decor items I had and still haven’t found the right spots for them, so the shelf is still a work in progress but I think for now it’s okay!
Next to my bed, I have 2 nightstands! They don’t match, but I’m hoping nobody notices (even though I’m telling you guys haha). I didddd buy two new ones, but one of them was broken and they didn’t have another in stock, so I just kept my old one! The one on the right side is mine, and then my boyfriend uses the other one but I still tried to make it look cute!
On my boyfriend’s nightstand, I put a couple of fake plants from Target on it and then he has whatever book he’s reading and his watch as well! Then on mine, I’ve just piled up a book and a notebook, with another fake plant from Target (can you tell that I like fake plants?!?! ). Behind that I have a marble block, also from Target.
Moving on to my bathroom!! I really really love my bathroom, the double sinks, the massive shower, it’s all great! I had the same bathroom decor for the last 2 years so when I moved I wanted to get some new items and I love it all! All of my towels are from Target, I seriously am obsessed with my shower towels… something I never thought I’d say but I guess this just means I’m growing up!
How freaking cute is my bath mat?!? First of all, I loveeee the color of it, and then of course the fact that it says “GET NAKED” is cute and hilarious. I also love the way it pairs with my ombre shower curtain, the colors go so well together!
Lastly, we have my closet… a closet I neverrrrr thought I’d have, it’s HUGE!
I think it’s every girls dream to have that nice big walk in closet where they can see all of their clothes everywhere they look. At least I know it was for me! Although, in my dreams it’s usually perfectly clean with everything color coordinated and looking perfect… unfortunately that’s just not who I am hahah. Sometimes I’ll just get super fed up with not even being able to see the floor so I end up spending hours trying to clean it and make it look perfect, but within a couple weeks it’s normally back to it’s messy state. As you can see, I did clean before taking these photos so it looks pretty awesome! The top row straight ahead is where I keep my flannels, cardigans, and almost anything I could use to layer on top of my outfit. The row below it is for my big comfy sweaters, with some fancier shirts tucked to the side. Then the top rack on the right is where I have all of my tops, long sleeves, short sleeves, crop tops, tank tops… you get it. Whether it’s messy or not, I still love my closet and I’m so grateful to have the walk in I’ve always dreamed of!
